She has played the romantic lead in Faiz Anwar's movie, ‘Chand Bujh Gaya’ opposite handsome Faraaz Khan. She had given the remarkable performance, under the direction of Sharique Minhaj.
Born on 29th March 1984, at Ludhiana in Punjab, she was brought up and educated at Ludhiana. From her early age, she had been very much interested in writing lyrics, poems, Ghazals and short stories. She used to feel very happy, when her writings were published in newspapers and periodicals. This encouraged her too much. She made up her mind to become cine-writer. She had many near and dear relatives in Mumbai and she had been visiting the place of an on. But when she decided to join the Show business, she got herself settled down in Mumbai, with her parents.
She started to struggle to get writing assignments. But fate had some thing else in mind. She being very beautiful, she got the offer of playing a romantic lead in the above film. She accepted the same. This turned out to be the turning point in her career. She made up her mind to become the Bollywood star. Her debut making film ‘Chand Bujh Gaya’ enlightened her ambition to become the shining star on the sky of Bollywood. She could have signed more films, but she has become very wise and choosy. She is awaiting for big banner and better assignment as full fledged leading lady. At present she is busy in going through two scripts, for which she has been offered the lead. Shortly, a very big announcement is to hit the headlines in Media.
Fond of movies, music and magazines, Sanam Khan is the fan of Madhubala and Meena Kumari, Dharmendra and Dilip Kumar. She has managed to see most of their movies.
In between she has appeared and participated in a Musicical Vide ‘Main Kaise Bhula Doon’. This album has been presented by Pushpa Arts and has been directed by Rajiv Ruia. Ram Shankar has given the musical score. Singers are Sadhna Sargam and Ram Shankar himself. Lyrics have been penned by Saani Aslam and Ibrahim Ashk.
